24 Model, Its Changes, and New Features

Today, we will discuss “24 Model, its Changes, and new features.” Eyes here, Wrangler fans! The off-road monster you all love just got a facelift for the 2024 model! While the changes may seem small, they have a significant effect on the vehicle’s overall appearance and functionality. From a smaller grille to a larger touchscreen display, the new Wrangler is an excellent combination of ruggedness and modernity. Read on to find out what exciting stuff Jeep has in store for you in this new lineup.

Exterior Changes

The most noticeable change in the 2024 Wrangler is the revamped grille. While many automakers are going for larger grilles, Jeep has gone the opposite direction, making it smaller. This change provides a sleeker and more modern appearance. The seven slots on the grille are black across all trim levels, and the grille’s smaller size improves engine cooling. The new grille also makes room for an optional 8,000-pound Warn winch, available on Rubicon models.

Along with the grille, the 2024 Wrangler offers new factory wheel options ranging from 17-inch rims to 20s. The wheels can wear tires up to 35 inches, depending on the package. New top options for both hard and soft roofs are also available, including a Sky One-Touch powertop. And in the name of aerodynamic efficiency, there’s a new windshield-integrated “stealth” antenna.

Interior Changes

The 2024 Wrangler’s most significant interior update is the 12.3-inch center touchscreen. It’s now standard across all trim levels, replacing the old 8.4-inch display. The larger screen provides an easier-to-use interface and better visibility. To accommodate the larger screen, Jeep had to move the round climate control vents to below the screen, but you’ll still find rounded vents at the corners.

The new Uconnect 5 system, behind the center touchscreen, offers several connected services, including the first factory-available Trails Offroad digital guide. It has several famous off-road trails built into the infotainment system, including California’s Rubicon Trail, Hell’s Revenge at Moab, and other trails that are part of the “62 Jeep Badge of Honor Trails.” The guides show up on the center display, pointing out important trail waypoints, features of interest, and trail difficulty. A “premium subscription” offers access to a catalog of over 3,000 trails.

New Trims and Features

The 2024 Wrangler retains its familiar trim levels, with two new additions: the Sport S 4xe and Rubicon X. Plug-in hybrid are now available in a lower-spec trim thanks to the S 4xe, while the Rubicon X offers more capability and technology to the upper levels of the Wrangler family. The Rubicon X comes with 12-way power front seats, a nine-speaker Alpine stereo, Nappa leather seats, integrated off-road cameras, steel bumpers, a full-time transfer case, 35-inch tires, and more.

Under the hood, powertrain options remain unchanged. The Wrangler still offers the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, 3.6-liter V6, 4xe 2.0-liter turbo plug-in hybrid, and Rubicon 392 with its 6.4-liter Hemi V8. All models are available with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and the four-cylinder and V6 models offer a six-speed manual. Jeep has announced that it plans to electrify its entire lineup by the end of 2025.

Safety Features

The 2024 Wrangler boasts more than 85 active and passive safety systems, including second-row outboard seat belts with pretensioners and improved structural reinforcement for side impacts.

Pricing and availability of the 2024 model are not yet available but you can take a glimpse of the new models at the 2023 New York Auto Show starting on April 7.
